OBSTACLE DETECTION
SENSOR SYSTEM
Our unique obstacle detection system provides back-up assistance for commercial vehicles such as utility trucks, box trucks and even trucks pulling trailers. This back-up alert/reverse-sensing system uses the latest ultrasound technology to detect objects that are up to eight (8) feet from the rear of the vehicle.
The system uses a unique sensor-scanning algorithm that reads each of four (4) separate sensors, displaying the distance to the one that is closest to an object. This offers the ability to monitor four (4) zones simultaneously across the width of the vehicle. The result is a greater degree of “blind spot” coverage. The wired system is available for commercial vehicles where "wireless" may be inconvenient to install.
Wireless Technology makes installation easy, reliable and inexpensive. Commercial vehicle owners now have an effective solution to help prevent backing accidents, property damage and insurance liability expense. Based on a leading-edge wireless technology, the Mobile Awareness system is easy and inexpensive to install and maintain. The waterproof sensors and ECU (Electronic Control Unit) mount with just 10 screws and two wires connected to the backing lights. The dash mounted Warning Display Unit only requires a 12v and ground connection to complete the installation. |
